Glengarriff’s interest in county competitions for 2012 ended last week when the U-16 teamed bowed out at semi-final stage to a much stronger Urhan team who have been a class apart in all of their games this season. The game was also doubled as the final of the Jerry Hurley Cup, Beara championship final, so it was a case of double defeat for the Glen who never gave up the fight but could  never compete with the opposition who would have held their own at a much higher grade.  
Team, Conor Lancaster, Tony Harrington, Diarmuid O’Shea, Paidi O’Sullivan, Cillian Collins, Stephen O’Sullivan, Thomas Harrington, Thomas O’Donovan, Gearoid O’Sullivan, Sean McCarthy, Ciaran O’Sullivan, Subs, Michael O’Sullivan, Fergal O’Sullivan, Tadhg McCarthy, Tristan Coakley.  

The U-12 team has home advantage on this Friday 19
th when they entertain Ballingeary in the final of their section of the autumn league competition, throw in 5 30pm.  

The U-14’s have a final of the western coiste league to play where the opposition is county champions St James.
 Many of the players on this team are involved with Beara who are waiting to learn their opposition in the county U-14 final.
